Women’s Water Polo No. 2 in NCAA/CWPCA Poll

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The California Lutheran women's water polo team has moved up one spot and is now ranked No. 2 in Division III, according to the NCAA and the Collegiate Water Polo Coaches Association (CWPCA) poll which was released Wednesday.

The Regals made one of the few moves to the top-10 as they received 93 points and jumped Whittier College which received 90. Pomona-Pitzer is still ranked first and was awarded 100 points. This is from the Week 5 Women's Varsity Division III Top 10 Poll.

Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) schools held down the top-seven spots. Macalaster College and Connecticut College were the only non-SCIAC schools to make the top-10.

Cal Lutheran opened the season Feb. 2 and defeated Carthage (Wis.) 12-4 and then Cal St. Monterey Bay 6-2.
