Rolfson Named Academic All-District Team

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.— Cal Lutheran senior setter Steph Rolfson has been named to the Division III Academic All-District Volleyball team announced Thursday by CoSIDA.

The native of Valley Center, Calif., carries a 3.98 grade point average while pursuing a major in biology. Rolfson has earned a spot on the ballot for national Academic All-America honors which will be announced Dec. 10.

Rolfson has started 23 games at setter and led the team with 796 assists and 7.51 per set. She also added 215 digs (2.03 per set), 53 kills (.317 attack percentage), 24 total blocks and 14 service aces. She recorded 11 double-doubles in assists and digs. She tallied career-highs this season with 55 assists and 16 digs. Showed an all-around game as she put up 55 assists, 12 digs, six kills, three blocks and two servce aces in a four-set win against Whittier. 

To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA. Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games at the position listed on the nomination form. An athlete must have completed one full calendar year at his institution and reached sophomore athletic eligibility.
