Regals Fall To Panthers On The Road

ORANGE, Calif. – Regals tennis travelled to Chapman for their Friday afternoon match up and were sent home with a 2-6 loss.

Joslin Seaberg and Heidi Levanen were the only doubles team to take a match off of the Panthers before entering the singles competition. Seaberg and Levanen won 8-4.

The singles match win came from Carmen Bufkin in the one-spot. Bufkin lost the first set 4-6 but fought back and took the second set 6-3. The tie breaker round went into extra points but Bufkin was triumphant with a 10-8 third set win.

Luisa Garcia took her singles match to three sets but was outlasted by her opponent. Lauren Sebastian was close to taking another match off the Panthers but was unsuccessful. Sebastian went down 3-6 in set one and came back to win set two 6-3. The final set went into extra points again but she was bested 7-5.

The Regals are back in Poulson Tennis Center one last time tomorrow morning at 10 am for Senior Day. They face Pomona-Pitzer for their last regular season match.
