THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – The Cal Lutheran women's tennis team returned home to take on Westmont College on Saturday afternoon. In a rematch between the squads, the Warriors defeated the Regals 8-1.
Joslin Seaberg collected her second singles win of the year as she was victorious at the No. 6 spot with a score of 7-6 (7-4), 6-1.
The Warriors took the rest of the points, winning the other five singles matches and all three doubles matches.
In singles, Henna Levanen was at the No. 1 (6-1, 6-0), Brennan Foreman battled at the No. 2 (6-1, 7-5), Carolina Groff Hinojosa fell at the No. 3 (7-5, 6-2), Jordan Buck was at the No. 4 (6-0, 6-1) and Heidi Levanen was No. 5 (7-5, 6-4).
In doubles, Foreman and Groff were defeated 8-5 at the No. 1, Seaberg and Hei. Levanen fell 8-7 (7-2) at No. 2 and Sophia Gawrit and Buck lost 8-5 at the No. 3.
The Regals start conference play in their next dual. Cal Lutheran travels to Chapman on April 3 to take on the Panthers at 10 a.m.
