Regals’ Undefeated Streak Comes to an End

ORANGE, Calif. – Cal Lutheran began Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) play this afternoon in Orange, Calif., but fell to Chapman 7-2 and saw their four-match win streak come to an end.

The Regals managed to take the first doubles match of the day as Lilijana Peters-Semak and Brennan Foreman battled to an 8-3 victory to earn a point for their team.

JoAnn Taylor and Joslin Seaberg narrowly lost their match in the number two spot, falling 8-6.

In the singles competition, Foreman continued her unbeaten week, winning her match 6-3, 6-4 as the lone Regal to come out victorious in singles.

Heidi Levanen, Carolina Groff Hinojosa, Peters-Semak, Taylor and Seaberg all fought valiantly in their singles matches, but couldn't manage to come out on top and CLU would fall to the Panthers 7-2.

The Regals travel to Texas for a pair of matches on Feb. 22 against Schreiner and Mary Hardin-Baylor as they return to nonconference competition.
