Regals Enjoy Great Success at Slug Invitational

SANTA CRUZ, Calif.– The California Lutheran University women's tennis had a very successful weekend at the Slug Invitational hosted by UC Santa Cruz, as multiple Regals managed to win in their respective competitions.

Carolina Groff Hinojosa battled to the final of the flight B singles competitions, but came up just short in her last match.

In the flight B doubles, JoAnn Taylor and Brennan Foreman also put in a great performance to reach the final, but narrowly fell to their opponent at the end of the tournament.

Foreman continued her success, however, going on to win the flight B singles consolation bracket, giving Cal Lutheran their first victory of the tournament.

Jordan Buck and Jade Moore were equally as impressive, taking home the flight B doubles consolation final to give their team yet another win.

Heading to the flight C singles, Joslin Seaberg was fantastic, winning the final match to secure another victory for CLU.

The duo of Heidi Levanen and Sophia Gawrit reached the final of the flight C doubles competition and made the most of their opportunity, taking the last match to win the bracket.

Cal Lutheran will resume competition in the spring when they open their 2020 schedule in Texas to face Texas Lutheran on Feb. 22.
