Three Regals Break Into The CLU Top-10 Record Book At Caltech Invitational

Three California Lutheran University student-athletes from the women's swimming and diving team broke their way into the CLU top-10 record book this weekend at the Caltech Invitational.

Kendall Moffitt placed third in the 1650 free (17:50.40), Alice Peterson placed fifth in the 200 back (2:11.00), Nektaria Anagnostou placed fifth in the 200 breast (2:29.84), Moffit placed fifth in the 100 fly (59.74), Anagnostou placed eighth in the 100 breast (1:09.26), and Moffitt placed 10th in the 500 free (5:15.80).

Moffitt clinched first place in the 500 free amongst all participants at the invitational. She then secured first place in the 1650 free on the second day of the meet.

Four Regal relay teams placed 3rd at the meet. The 400-yard medley relay made up of Peterson, Anagnostou, Moffitt, and Kyrie Fairbairn (4:08.77). The 200-yard free relay of Peterson, Moffitt, Fairbairn, and Blickman. The 200-yard medley relay of Peterson, Anagnostou, Fairbairn, and Moffitt (1:53.44). To end the meet was the 400-yard free relay of Peterson, Fairbairn, Blickman, and Moffitt (3:41.60).

The Regals are off for a while before returning to the pool. Their next time in action is Saturday, January 8, when they host Pomona-Pitzer at 10:30 a.m.
