Regals Record 11 Podium Finishes at Home-Opening Meet

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.– The California Lutheran University women's swimming and diving team had a great showing in their home-opening meet where they hosted Pomona-Pitzer and La Verne, earning 11 podium finishes on the day

RESULTS

The Regals would finish second in the tri-meet, earning 426.3 points. The visiting Sagehens won the meet with 475.7 points while the Leopards came in third with 383.6 points.

Emily Glass was Cal Lutheran's top performer at the meet, earning two second-place finishes for her team. The senior posted a time of 1:12.34 in the 100-yard breaststroke and a time of 2:36.27 in the 200-yard breaststoke.

Also with multiple podium finishes were Kyrie Fairbairn and Avery Conrad. Fairbairn grabbed two third-place finishes in the 100-yard freestyle and the 200-yard freestyle while Conrad came in second in the 200-yard IM and third in the 100-yard backstroke.

McKenzie Kelly impressed with a second-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly, touching the wall at 2:58.74

Emily Anderson also got on the podium with a third-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle, coming in at 5:39.44

The Regals get back in the pool Nov. 16 at 10:30 a.m. when they travel to take on Chapman and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps for another tri-meet.
