CLAREMONT, Calif. — Cal Lutheran women's soccer rallied in the second half of their game against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and it ended in a 1-1 tie on Monday night.

The first half was originally played on October 15, but due to lightning the game had been delayed. The teams got back together, and finished the contest, as the Regals improved to 9-4-3 overall and 6-1-3 in SCIAC.

CMS scored in the 15th minute and took an early lead. After the postponement, and nine days later, Cal Lutheran returned ready and continued to fight.

In the 66th minute, Isabella Veljacic and the Regals broke through. Veljacic snuck the ball into the net and tied the game. Both teams' defenses held strong, and Cal Lutheran goalkeeper Logan Duford made eight saves, stopping CMS from making any more points.

The Regals will be hitting the road for their next game against La Verne on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m.
