SAN ANTONIO — Cal Lutheran women's soccer started its Texas trip with a huge win as the Regals defeated Texas-Dallas 3-0 on Friday afternoon.

The Regals have now won four in a row, and shutout their second straight opponent. The offense came from all over the place with Isabella Veljacic, Adriana Maroney and Savana Durr scoring a goal.

The offense moved the ball well with multiple Regals recording an assist. Durr, Ryan Kaneko, Jalynne Magana and Elisa Shott all recorded an assist as the Purple and Gold put on a clinic.

The Regals had shots on goal all game long. Cal Lutheran totaled 30 shots with 16 being on goal.

Logan Duford was in goal and recorded her second consecutive shutout. She made four saves and combined with the defense to keep Texas-Dallas quiet. Kelsey Slaugh came in later in the second half, made one save, and helped Duford complete the shutout.

Veljacic got the Regals on the board in the 24th minute. Cal Lutheran doubled up their opponent just over two minutes later as Maroney scored her first goal of the year.

The Violet and Gold had a 2-0 lead at the break, and opened the second half by adding to their total. Durr scored her second goal of the year as Cal Lutheran coasted the rest of the way.

The Regals continue their Texas trip with Hardin-Simmons. The match is set for Sunday at 10 a.m. PST.
