First-Ever Schedule Release for Regals Lacrosse

First-Ever Schedule Release for Regals Lacrosse

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – The time has finally come as Cal Lutheran women's lacrosse is releasing its first-ever schedule which includes 12 conference games, broken up by five non-conference contests.

For the Regals and Head Coach Laura McIntyre, the 2020 season can't come soon enough. With Cal Lutheran adding lacrosse, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) can now receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

"We are very excited about our first schedule," said McIntyre. "While the majority of our season will consist of SCIAC games we are fortunate enough to have several non-conference opponents want to come and play us at home.

"These five non-conference games come in the middle of our season and will help us prepare for the second half of SCIAC play. Our team and staff are looking forward to playing a challenging schedule for our first year as a program."

You will get your first chance to see Regals lacrosse live on Feb. 19 for their program, season and home opener. After hitting the road for two contests, CLU host Pomona-Pitzer on March 3 and Chapman on the 7. All three games start at 7 p.m.

The Purple and Gold get their first taste of three-time defending SCIAC champion, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, on the road, with the game set for March 11 at 7 p.m. CMS has been undefeated in SCIAC play over the past three seasons.

Splitting up the conference play, is five home games as the Regals get to show off their home, William Rolland Stadium. The Regals will face good competition as Puget Sound (March 20), Willamette (24), Pacific (26), Whitworth (28) and Johnson & Wales (29) all make the trip to Thousand Oaks.

As Cal Lutheran jumps back into SCIAC play, they only have three more games at home. The Regals face Occidental on April 8, Whittier on April 15 and CMS for the season finale on April 25.

Be sure to catch Cal Lutheran Regals lacrosse during their first season and be a part of history.
