Regals Fifth After SCIAC #1; Legacion T-10th

VENTURA, Calif. — California Lutheran University women's golf started conference with SCIAC #1 and after 36 holes the Regals sit in fifth place at 57-over-par.
 
The Regals stayed consistent shooting 317 on Saturday and 316 on Sunday for a total of 633 strokes. They are five strokes behind fourth-place and 15 strokes out of third.

Jett Legacion led the Regals as she tied for 10th. She fired a 1-over-par 73 on Sunday as she moved up five spots on the day. She carded a 79 in the first round and totaled 152 strokes.

Claire Cornejo was next and made it three Regals in the thop-15 as she tied for 13. She totaled a 76 in the first, 78 in the second for a 10-over-par 154. 

Grace Cornejo was next and Tara Ng and Ashley Zook followed her to round out the team score. G. Cornejo was 28th at 20-over-par (81-83- 164), Ng tied for 31st at 22-over-par (84-82-166) and Zook tied for 34th at 23-over-par (81-86-167). 

Haley Brown, Anna Bello and Grace Mitchell competed as individuals for the Purple and Gold. Brown tied for 31st at 22-over-par (85-81-166), Bello tied for 40th at 29-over-par (87-86-173) and Mitchell was 42nd with 32-over-par (87-89-176). 

SCIAC #1 is the first leg of the SCIAC Championships. The championship format consists of two rounds at SCIAC #1, two rounds at SCIAC #2 and three rounds at SCIAC Championships. 

The Regals are in Moorpark for their next tournament and host the CLU Regals Invitational on March 14-15.
