CHINO HILLS, Calif. — Claire Cornejo placed seventh to lead Cal Lutheran women's golf at the SCIAC Tournament Championship. As a team, the Regals were third at 123-over-par with 987 strokes (329-327-331). 

The SCIAC Championship Tournament was held at the Los Serranos Country Club. The women's teams played on the north course and shot 18 holes on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

C. Cornejo led her squad with a mark of 25-over-par. She stayed consistent throughout the tournament and shot an 80 on Sunday and Tuesday and an 81 in between for a total of 241 strokes. 

Tara Ng made it two Regals in the top-10 and tied for 9^th at 28-over-par. She shot an 83 on Sunday and Tuesday, with a 78 on Monday, and totaled 244 strokes. 
 
Grace Cornejo tied for 11^th at 30-over-par. She shot the second-lowest round of the tournament on Sunday with a 76. However, her scores went the wrong way as she recorded an 82 and 88 on Monday and Tuesday, respectively. She finished with a total of 246 strokes. 

Rounding out the team score was Haley Brown. The freshman placed 16^th with a score of 48-over-par. She shot better each day, carding an 93 on Sunday, an 86 on Tuesday and an 85 on Tuesday for a total of 264 strokes. 

Grace Mitchell and Anna Bello also competed for the Regals. Mitchell took 17^th-place at 53-over-par (92-90-87-269) and Bello was in 18^th at 54-over-par (90-97-83-270).

The 2021 NCAA DIII women's golf championship selections will be announced on NCAA.com on Monday, May 3. The championship is May 11-14 at Forest Akers in Lansing, Mich.
