Gipson Drops Game-High 20 Points; Regals Fall On The Road

Redlands, Calif. – The Regals hit the road in pursuit of a conference game win against the Redland Bulldogs. Multiple Regals scored in the double digits but they came up short 51-68.

They went point for point with the Bulldogs in the first quarter. The teams kept it close and ended their first 10 minutes with a score of 16-16.

The second quarter went just like the first. Neither team was able to gain enough momentum to take a substantial lead. The Purple and Gold entered the halftime down 28-30.

Though the Regals weren't able to get the lead in the third, they only were down by four heading into the final ten minutes. That is where the Bulldogs were able to break down the Regals and outscore them 12-25.

Naomi Gipson was the leading scorer for the game on both sides of the court. She poured in 20 points, had seven rebounds, and one block.

Cameron Mallory saw the court the most tonight with 37 minutes of playing time. She put up 15 points for the Purple and Gold. She can add this to her streak of double-digit scoring games. Mallory had an additional seven rebounds and one assist.

Mackenzy Iwahashi had eight points and led the team with three assists.

The Regals hit the road Monday to make-up a conference game that was postponed.
