Bulldogs Take Care of Regals

REDLANDS, Calif. — An early deficit was too much to overcome as Cal Lutheran softball was defeated 10-2 by the Redlands Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon. 

With one series left in the regular season, the Regals drop to 1-11 on the year. Before going to the SCIAC Postseason Tournament, the Regals will have one three-game series with La Verne. 

The Bulldogs scored runs in five of the six innings as the game was called due to the mercy rule, in six innings. 

Taryn Faull started the game, but got ousted by the Bulldogs in just one inning. Sienna Perez came in next and pitched a 3.0 innings. She gave up just one hit and earned run. 

Natalie Luna recorded a RBI and Genevieve Avalos and Madison Gunn scored the runs. 

Ariana Mendoza and Ashley Membrere added hits in the loss. 

The Regals have one last home game. Cal Lutheran host La Verne on Friday at 2 p.m.
