Brown, Goldsmith Tabbed First Team All-SCIAC; Brown Sets Program First, All Four Years

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. Ben Brown and Dillon Goldsmith were named First Team All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), which was announced Wednesday afternoon.

The duo led the Kingsmen to a third place regular season finish and will host the first round of the SCIAC Tournament at 3 p.m. today.

Brown (Chula Vista, Calif.) set a program first as he earned First Team All-SCIAC for the fourth time. His fourth honor broke a tie with Brandon Gross and Matt Heagy that had three first team honors each. In conference play, Brown led the offense and dished out 22 assists. He also anchored the defense with 18 steals. On top of that, he added 23 goals, eight field blocks and six drawn exclusions. 

Goldsmith (San Marino, Calif.) garnered his second all-conference award and landed on the Frist Team. He was also named Second Team in 2018. Goldsmith propelled his team to the No. 3 spot, leading the way with 33 goals and had a shooting percentage of .485. He was second on the team with 16 drawn exclusions and fourth in steals with 14. All in conference play, he added 10 assists and five field blocks. 

Cal Lutheran went 7-4 in conference. They are the No. 3 seed in the SCIAC Tournament and host No. 6 Chapman.
