Kingsmen Water Polo Earns All-Academic Team; 11 Individuals Garner Honors

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.— The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced the 2018 Men's All-Academic Team with 11 Kingsmen earning a spot. Cal Lutheran also garnered Team Honors for achieving a grade point average (GPA) of 3.10.  

Cal Lutheran was one of 24 teams, across all three divisions, to earn the prestigious award. Teams must average a GPA of 3.00 between all of its student-athletes. 

The individual honors are divided into three different teams based on cumulative grade point average. Kaleo Lee, Nathan March and Ethan Wlaschin garnered Outstanding (4.00-3.71), Matt Fong, Johnny Hirn, George Lundgren and Justin Krause earned Superior (3.70-3.41) while Stephen Blaauw, Justin English, Jack Kirby, Parker Jory and Jonathan Salandi were Excellent (3.40-3.20).  

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete's head coach must be a member of the ACWPC, while the athlete must attain a grade point average in excess of 3.20.
