Diehl received an All-Academic Award which earned him a spot on the outstanding (4.0-3.71 GPA) list… Started 14 games of the 23 he appeared in for the Kingsmen…scored 17 goals with 2 assists… he drew 18 ejections and had 18 steals to end the season… as a sophomore he recorded 2 field bocks and had a shooting averaged of .414 percentage... Inducted into the Scholar-Athlete Society for the second time.
2016
Started in eight games out of the 26 he appeared in as a freshman… made his debut for the Kingsmen against the Air Force Academy (Sept. 3) where he also netted his first career goal… scored 34 times with a shooting average of .415… tallied up eight assists, 12 steals, 19 drawn ejections, and three field blocks… against Penn State (Sept. 18) and Caltech (Oct.29) he scored four goals, had one assist and one steal...credits being part of a 9-8 come-from-behind victory over La Verne at SCIAC Championships after trailing 8-4 in the fourth quarter as his most vast memory of CLU ahtletics...inducted into the CLU Scholar Athlete Society for the first time.

Played club water polo and also competed in club swim in 2012-2016…competed in the Junior Olympics…credits his greatest personal sports achievement to winning the gold medal in his last Junior Olympics.
