SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — The Cal Lutheran men's track & field team started 2020 with the On Your Marks Meet which was hosted by Westmont on Saturday.
The Kingsmen only traveled distance runners as five competed in the 3,000-meter run and the one mile run.
Luke VanKeersbilck led the way in the 3,000-meter run and clocked in at 9:39.87 and in 10th-place. Junior Nikita Khromets was next at 11th with a time of 9:40.58, freshman Jonathan Aguilar finished at 9:50.13 in 12th and sophomore Xavier Reynoso came in 13th with 11:03.35.
In the one mile run, Henry Friederichs finished 17th and crossed the finish time with 4:50.00.
The next competition for the Kingsmen is the Pomona-Pitzer Collegiate All-Comers. Cal Lutheran travels to Claremont, Calif., on Saturday, Feb. 15, for a start time of 10:30.
