The dual started with three doubles matches and the No. 2 team in the country proved why it had its ranking. All three CLU doubles team could not muster more than three points in their match.

In singles play, the Stage continued their tough play. Jake Haffner competed at the No. 1 and fell 6-0, 6-2, Charlie Spina was at the No. 3 and went 6-0, 6-1, Sebastian Ariza was No. 5 and went 6-0, 6-2 and Ryen Wagner was the No. 6 and fell 6-2, 6-0.

"CMS is the No. 2 team in the nation," said head coach Mike Gennette. "Darvel had to retire with a shoulder injury. He will rest tomorrow and be back in action on Monday. Sean was back in action today and he performed very well against a top player and will be a huge asset for the Kingsmen in the future."
