Rodarte Earns Second All-America Honor on Final Day of Competition; Won B  Final, Set New School Record in 200 Breast

INDIANAPOLIS — Luke Rodarte and Andreas Nybo wrapped up a successful NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday. The duo represented California Lutheran University swimming and diving at the four-day championships spanned Wednesday through Saturday. 

On the final day of competition, Rodarte earned All-America Honorable Mention as he placed ninth in the 200-yard breaststroke. He won the B Final and set a new school record. He finished the race with a time of one minute and 56.69 seconds, as he lowered his own school mark.

Rodarte is the NCAA National Champion in the 100 breast, the first national champion in program history. The win earned him First Team All-America, making it two All-America honors. 

Rodarte was the lone Kingsmen competing on the final day. Nybo raced each of the previous three days. He earned two First Team All-America honors, in the 100 and 200 butterfly.  

The duo set multiple school records, had incredible races, made history and many memories in the 2021-22 season.
