Nybo Earns All-American; Eighth-Place in 200 IM

INDIANAPOLIS — Andreas Nybo earned First Team All-American to represent California Lutheran University men's swimming and diving at the 2022 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships at the IUPUI Natatorium.

Nybo and Luke Rodarte are both at the NCAA championships which are Wednesday through Saturday.

Nybo garnered All-America for the fifth consecutive year. He recorded a time of 1:49.33 in the 200 individual medley and placed eighth.

In the preliminaries of the IM, he set the school record with a time of one minute and 48.71 seconds, which qualified him for the final. That time crushed his previous lifetime best and team record of 1:49.27.

Rodarte swam the 50-yard freestyle prelims and went a lifetime best of 21.14. The time did not qualify him for the finals, however, it did move him into a tie for eighth-place on the CLU all-time top-10 list.

Nybo competes tomorrow in the 100 butterfly, with prelims starting at 10 a.m. EST. Nybo and Rodarte both compete on Friday and Rodarte also competes on Saturday.
