Blaauw Named SCIAC Athlete of the Week

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. — California Lutheran University student-athlete Stephen Blaauw was selected as the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Swimming Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Monday morning. 

Earned SCIAC Swimmer of the Week for the first time in his career. 

Blaauw helped pace Cal Lutheran to a 169-74 dual-meet win over Whittier, and a 154-81 dual-meet victory over Redlands in SCIAC action. Blaauw won the 1650-yard freestyle in a time of 16:05.34, and the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:43.47. He also helped the Kingsmen 200-yard freestyle team place fourth.
