Nybo Named SCIAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. — California Lutheran University student-athlete Andreas Nybo earned Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Men's Swimmer of the Week, the conference announced Monday morning. This is his second SCIAC Swimmer of the Week honor this year.

Nybo (Portola Valley, Calif.) helped Cal Lutheran to a 180-84 SCIAC dual-meet victory over Chapman. The senior won three individual events and the 200-yard medley relay event. Nybo won the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 1:55.75, and added a victory in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 52.53. He then claimed the 200-yard Individual Medley with a mark of 1:55.75. 

Nybo combined with Miles Gaitan, Lincoln Hall and Nick Kenny to win the 200-yard medley relay with 1:37.77

The Kingsmen continue the season on the road. Cal Lutheran is at La Verne on Jan. 29 for a tri-meet against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and La Verne.
