Competed in twelve events as a freshman for the Kingsman…notched eight of his best times at four different meets… 29.79 in the 50-breast and 54 in the 100-free at Cal Lutheran Sprint Meet… 7:35.47 in the 800-free relay and 25.23 in the 50-free at Banana Slug Invitational… 3:30.35 in the 400-free relay and 1:41.04 in the 200-medley relay at Occidental...2:08.09 in the 200-individual medley and 1:02.28 in the 100-breast at Whittier/Redlands… Additionally achieved four more bests at different meets… 1:01.58 in the 100-individual medley at Malibu Invitational, 3:51.96 in the 400-medley relay at Chris Knorr Invitational, 1:38.66 in the 200-free relay at Pomona-Pitzer, and 2:12.14 in the 200-breast at SCIAC Championship...Inducted into the Scholar-Athlete Society for the first time.
