Four Men’s Basketball Student-Athletes Garner Honors Court, Kingsmen Earn NABC Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Cal Lutheran men's basketball was a recipient for the 2021-22 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award with four student-athletes earning Honors Court.

The awards recognize outstanding achievement in the classroom by collegiate men's basketball teams and student-athletes. The Kingsmen that earned the individual honor were Miles Houston (sports management), Charlie Lee (finance), Brooks Mallory (accounting) and Logan McCullough (business administration).

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men's basketball programs that completed the 2021-22 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2021-22 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.

Over 2,000 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and over 300 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2021-22.
