Kingsmen End Regular Season On 10-Point Win

Orange, Calif. – Four Kingsmen scored in the double digits in their 82-72 win over Chapman in their last regular season game of the year.

Jacob Alonzo was the leading scorer for the Purple and Gold and found himself all over the stat sheet. He snagged 20 points, dealt seven assists, grabbed four rebounds, and made three steals.

After a back and forth battle in the first half, the Kingsmen ended up going point for point with the Panthers. There was a strong offensive run for the Purple and Gold in the first half that they took momentum from to propel them into the second 20.

It was a hard fought second half but the Purple and Gold's dynamic offense couldn't be tamed by the Panthers. They outscored Chapman by 10 points in the second 20 which gave them their final win of conference play.

Mason Johnson found himself all over the court and put up the second highest amount of points for the Kingsmen. Johnson dropped 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds. He finished his contributions with one assist and one steal.

Sophomore Tommy Griffitts showed out tonight with 17 points of his own. He continued to be a play-maker with seven rebounds, two assists, and one block. Griffitts and Johnson tied for highest rebounds.

Five others scored but Riley O'Connor was the last Kingsmen in double digits. He collected 11 points, five rebounds, and one block.
