Dees Selected First Team All-America

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. Obasi Dees of Cal Lutheran football added one of the most prestigious awards to his decorated career as he was named to the D3football.com All-America team on the First Team defense.

Dees (Antioch, Calif.) is the eighth Kingsmen to garner First Team All-America status and first to do so since Eric Rogers in 2012.

The awards piled up for the senior cornerback this season as Dees was also an American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Second Team All-American, D3football.com First Team All-West Region selection and CLU's first four-time First Team All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) honoree.

This is the 21st annual D3football.com All-America team, one of two recognized by the NCAA for inclusion in their record book (along with the AFCA).

With Dees' collegiate career almost wrapped up, he was honored by the Hula Bowl and will compete in the all-star game at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Jan. 26 at 6:30 p.m. PST. The game features the top seniors across all division and can be found on the CBS Sports Network.
