Dees Selected All-West Region First Team, Windsor Garners Second Team

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Two Cal Lutheran football players were named All-Region by D3football.com, the organization announced Tuesday morning. Obasi Dees was named to the 2018 All-West Region First Team Defense and JW Windsor earned Second Team Defense.

Dees (Antioch, Calif.) earned his first All-West Region Defense honor. He is only the fifth Kingsmen to garner a First Team selection. The last Kingsmen to do so was Eric Rogers back in 2012. Dees is the third Cal Lutheran cornerback to make First Team. Dees was one of four juniors named to the First Team with all others being seniors.

Windsor (Chandler, Ariz.) was selected to the All-West Region Second Team Defense in his first year with the Kingsmen. He is only the second Cal Lutheran defensive tackle to garner All-West Region honors. Windsor is the first Second Team selection since 2012. He was the only junior named to the Second Team and everyone else was a senior.

Altogether, Cal Lutheran has had 17 All-West Region Selections.

The teams, selected in balloting by West Region sports information directors and D3football.com staff, were chosen from 255 nominations by Division III member schools. A total of 78 players were chosen. Players nominated for All-Region are eligible to be considered for D3football.com All-America honors, which will be announced the evening of Dec. 14, in D3football.com's pregame coverage for Stagg Bowl XLVI.
