Sports Medicine

The purpose of California Lutheran University’s (CLU) Sports Medicine program is to oversee the health and well-being of its student-athletes. The program is comprised of Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC), team orthopedic physicians, and our on-campus Health Center.

Along with the treatment and care of our athletes, the Sports Medicine program is designed to give our Exercise Science students an opportunity to gain “hands-on” experience. This experience will assist them in attaining the clinical proficiencies needed to apply for graduate programs in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Physicians’ Assistant, Nursing, and other health care professions.
