Jeff Nikora joined the Cal Lutheran track and field programs in 2017 as an assistant coach for the men’s and women’s throwers. In 2018, he was hired as an assistant offensive line coach for the football team.

In track & field at Cal Lutheran, he has coached several student-athletes to top-10 marks on the program's all-time record list. He also coached SCIAC Champions, All-SCIAC honors, All-West Region honors; as well as both Regal and Kingsmen of the Year. In Football, he has coached several student-athletes to All-SCIAC honors.

Prior to joining Cal Lutheran, Nikora coached both football and track and field at Malibu High School. In track and field, several of his athletes have competed in the California High School Winter Championships, Hammer Championships and the Jr. Olympic National Championships. All of the school throwing records are held by athletes he has coached.

Nikora graduated from Brown University in 1984 with a double major in applied mathematics and economics. In track and field he was the captain of the indoor and uutdoor teams and threw the hammer, 35 pounds weight, shot put and discus. In football he received numerous awards including Honorable Mention All-America; and attended training camp with the New York Jets.
