Curtin, Stewart Named SCIAC Athlete of the Week

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. — California Lutheran University student-athletes Cooper Curtin and  Tanner Stewart were selected as the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Monday morning. 

Curtin was named the SCIAC Field Athlete of the Week and Stewart was Golfer of the Week. It is the first such honor for both. 

Curtin (Portland, Ore.) led the Kingsmen in the field events during the Pomona-Pitzer All-Comers meet. The junior set the program's second-best mark in the pole vault clearing 4.55 meters to finish second in the event. 

Stewart (Hermosa Beach, Calif.) led Cal Lutheran at the two-day San Marcos Fujikura Invitational that saw the Kingsmen place 14th overall. The freshman posted a three-round score of 235 highlighted by an opening-round mark of 75 (+3). Stewart tied for 58th overall.
