WALLA WALLA, Wash. — Freshman Veronica Redpath and junior Rachel Ereso paced the Cal Lutheran Regals to their highest finish in a regional meet since 2013, Saturday morning, at the NCAA Division III West Region Cross Country Championships hosted by Whitman College. Overall, the team finished in 15th with an average time of 24:50 and 2:28 spread.

The Regals took to Veterans Memorial Golf Course donning orange ribbons marked with #TOStrong and #TOTogether in honor of those lost in Wednesday night's tragedy.

"I was so proud of them for how they went out and competed today. With everything going on back at home, they left it all on the course and gave everything they had today. I know that they would've made everyone so proud," said head coach Matt Lea.

Recording a new lifetime personal record, Redpath was the first Regal and 55th overall runner across the line at 23:55.6. Right beside her, Ereso also marked a 23:55.6, good for 56th

Also amongst the top 100 finishers in the region, sophomore Olivia Becker crossed the finish line in 94th at 24:56.6, followed closely behind by freshman Caroline Slate in 96th at 25:01.9.

Rounding out the Regals, junior Cameron Baggs notched a 26:23.9, good for 113th, and senior captain Kylie Rodriguez marked in at 27:50.1 for 119th
