The winningest head coach in program history, Kellee Roesel was named the head coach of Cal Lutheran women's volleyball in the summer of 2006. 

The accolades for her staff and student-athletes have poured in over the years, highlighted by the 2015 NCAA Division III National Championship. During that year, she guided the Regals to a 31-5 record as they claimed the first title in program history. On top of Roesel being named AVCA Coach of the Year, Kevin Judd was honored as Assistant Coach of the Year and a trio of players were All-America selections. 

She continues to be one of the top Division III coaches in the country and has never had a losing season. On top of the national title, Roesel has coached the Purple and Gold to four NCAA Regional Championships, 12 NCAA Tournament appearances, eight SCIAC Championships, five SCIAC Tournament Championships and Cal Lutheran is the only SCIAC school to never miss the SCIAC Tournament which began in 2009. She has also been named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) West Region Coach of the Year three times. 

Individually, Roesel has coached 17 AVCA All-Americans, 32 AVCA All-West Region selections, two ACVA All-West Region Freshman of the Year, nine earned All-SCIAC Player of the Year, and her team's have earned nine straight AVCA Team Academic awards.

More notoable seasons include 2014 as the Regals went 29-3, the second-most wins in school history, leading the nation in Kills Per Set (14.17) and Assists Per Set (13.21) and Roesel was named AVCA West Region Coach of the Year. In 2013, Roesel led the Regals to the 2013 Division III National Championship game were they narrowly fell in five-set thriller. The Regals had the best season in program history, going 35-2, including a 29 game win-streak. The Regals also scored 29 victories in 2012, and had a 16-game winning streak to close out the regular season. CLU advanced to the NCAA West Regional Finals for the second consecutive season and ended the season with a No. 10 national ranking in the final AVCA poll. In 2011, Roesel and her staff guided CLU to a 29-7 record and advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight for only the third time in program history.

Roesel has produced at least one AVCA All-America player in 13 out of 14 years at the helm of the Regals program. Five players have earned First Team All-American status with Mo Coverdale and Kylie McLogan earning it twice. First Team All-American Allison Kerr led all of NCAA Division III in kills in 2010.

Roesel's extensive coaching background includes experience at both the high school and collegiate levels. From 1999-2008 she served as the assistant men's and women's coach at Moorpark Community College.

At Moorpark College over 20 of Roesel's former players have continued their volleyball careers at the next level and more than 95 percent walked away with an A.A. degree. Her team finished top five in California between 2000 and 2003 and went on to become the Western States Conference Champions in 2000-2003. She helped coach the 2005 men's team that was California State Champions.

Roesel coached the 2003 National Junior College Women's Player of the Year (Nena Siljegovic), three Pepsi Scholar Athletes and five All-State players.

Prior to the 2009 CLU volleyball season Roesel had been full-time high school teacher at both Fillmore and Moorpark High School. She has also coached the Freshman, JV and Varsity volleyball and soccer teams at FHS and MHS. 

A Moorpark High graduate, she went on to receive her BS in Criminal Justice Administration from San Diego State University in after completing her AS in CJA from Moorpark College. In 2003, Roesel completed her Single Subject CLAD Teaching Credential PE and Health from National University and most recently finished at Azusa Pacific University earning a Masters Degree in Physical Education (2004).

In 1997 she married Andy Roesel and on January 12, 2009 welcomed daughter Else to their family.

A native of Moorpark, Kellee played volleyball for James Park at MHS and Don Hyatt at MC (both former CLU coaches). In high school she also played soccer, softball and field hockey.

For fun she enjoys golfing, snowboarding, Cross Fit, music, poker, and is an avid sports fan.
