Regals Sweep Seventh Opponent; Second Sweep of Chapman

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. . The Cal Lutheran women's volleyball team claimed their seventh sweep of the season and their second against the Chapman Panthers on Saturday night. The scores of the match were 25-12, 25-17, 25-22. 

Sophia Muller and Maci Haddad were on fire, recording kills in the double digits. Muller led the Regals offense with 14 kills, while Haddad followed closely with 13 and an impressive hitting percentage of .632. Miranda Chan had nine kills of her own and Sadie Peete tallied eight. 

Jalyn Chun fed her attackers with 27 assists and Tess Holbert added 15. Libero Julia Trento defended the Regals court with 15 digs. Chun recorded 12 digs for a double-double and Muller collected ten. 

Muller put up a total of 20 serves against the Panthers. Haddad served 15 from behind the line with no errors as the Regals offense was rolling.

At the net, Kira Mortensen tallied five block assists. Peete and Chan both added three block assists. 

The Regals attempt their eighth sweep of the season at Cal Tech on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
