LEXINGTON, Ky. — Sophomore middle blocker Maci Haddad of Cal Lutheran Regals volleyball was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Associaton All-West Region Team, the AVCA announced Thursday morning.
It's the second consecutive season that Haddad has been named to the team. Last year, she was also selected as the West Region Freshman of the Year.
Haddad has been instrumental for the offense and defense during her first two years with the Regals. A native of Bakersfield, Calif., Haddad ranks 69th in the nation for total blocks (94), is 88th for blocks per set (0.90) and 89th in hitting percentage (.316). Haddad also led the team to 26th in the nation for blocks per set (1.97).
In the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Haddad ranked third in hitting percentage (.316), block assists (84) and total blocks (94). She is also fifth in points (310.0) and ninth in kills (252).
