2018 (Track & Field)
Competed in the 1500m, the mile, 400m hurdles, and the 3000m steeplechase during her senior season for the Regals...recorded season bests of 5:14.56 in the 1500m, 5:53.83 in the mile, 1:17.01 in the 400m hurdles and 12:24.96 in the 3000m steeplechase...earned her way into the CLU record books with her performance in the 3000m steeplechase (6th all-time)...also contributed in the 4x800m relay and the distance medley relay (9th all-time in CLU history) at the Claremont Rossi Relays.

2017 (Track & Field)
Concluded her junior effort with a 13^th place finish in the 3000m steeplechase (12:37.00) at SCIAC Championships…garnered a personal record in the mile (5:54.27) at the Westmont Sunshine Open…additionally set a personal record in the 3000m steeplechase (12:34.31) at SCIAC Multi-Dual No. 3…secured a personal record in the 1500m (5:11.68) at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite.

2016 (Track & Field)
Placed 10^th overall in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 13:00.42 at the SCIAC Championships (Apr. 29)…ranks ninth all-time in CLU history in the event…also competed in the 1500m where she finished 17^th with a time of 5:23.72…led the Regals in the 1500m with her fastest time of 5:18.82 set at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational (Apr. 9).

2015 (Cross Country)
Appeared in four meets as a sophomore…fastest 6K came at the NCAA Division 3 West Regional (Nov. 14) with a career best time of 25:30.40…ran an average 6K time of 26:29.60 on the season…member of the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team in 2015.

2015 (Track & Field)
Improved her time in each meet throughout the season…competed in the 1500m at the SCIAC Championships (May 2) and clocked a season-best time of 5:44.20…also ran a time of 5:57.07 at the SCIAC No. 3 meet (Apr. 11) and a time of 5:59.56 at the SCIAC No. 1 meet (Mar. 7).

2014 (Cross Country)
Competed at the SCIAC Championships (Nov. 1) where she finished with a time of 29:02.68…ran a 26:36.87 at the SCIAC Multi-Duals on Oct. 17 for her fastest 6K time of the year…her top 5K time came on Sept. 20 at the Mustang Challenge where she finished in 22:49.80.

Liberty High School
Graduated from Liberty HS in Bakersfield, Calif. in 2014…four-year member of the Patriots track and field and cross country team…was the mile record holder and distance medley record holder…was a cross country state qualifier…ranked 2nd in the valley sophomore year…member of league championship team for women’s track senior year.

Full name: Katie Patricia Young…born on Sept. 27, 1996 in Bakersfield, Calif.…is oldest child of Eric Young and Kathie Green…has two younger brothers, Kal and Karson and has two younger sisters, Karlie and Ana…family currently resides in Bakersfield, Calif.…considers running a full 5k race with one of her teammates and finishing together one of her greatest sports moments…chose CLU because of the location and atmosphere…exercise science major…spanish minor…career goal is to become a physical therapist for special needs children (occupational therapist).
