Bufkin Tabbed First Team, Foreman Earns Second Team

ALISO VIEJO, Calif.  –  Carmen Bufkin and Brennan Foreman were named to the 2022 All-Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) women's tennis team the conference announced Thursday morning following a vote conducted by the league's member head coaches. 

Bufkin was selected to First Team and Foreman landed on Second Team as they represented the Regals. Bufkin was one of two freshman to be named First Team. Foreman earned All-SCIAC for the second time in her career. 

Bufkin (Haslet, Texas) played the top competition in the conference. The freshman competed at No. 1 singles in every match she played with and teamed up with Foreman at the No. 1 doubles spot. Bufkin impressed as she was 4-2 in singles, defeating some of the best players in the conference. She was also 3-4 in doubles. 

Foremen (Austin, Texas) competed at No. 1 and No. 2 singles and then No. 1 doubles. In her lone No. 1 singles match, she defeated her Whittier opponent 6-2, 6-3. She went 1-2 at No. 2 singles and was 2-2 overall. At No. 1 doubles with Bufkin, the duo went 3-4.
