THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – California Lutheran University women's tennis got second conference win of the season as they took down Occidental 6-3 on Friday night.
The Regals improved to 9-4 on the year and moved to an even 2-2 in conference play.
The Purple and Gold took two out of the three doubles matches. Carmen Bufkin and Brennan Foreman won 8-5 and the No. 1 spot and Carolina Groff Hinojosa and Luisa Garcia took the No. 2 at 8-4.
Cal Lutheran took four more wins in singles and picked up a good win. Bufkin won in the No. 1 singles spot 6-4, 6-4, Foreman claimed the No. 2 spot 7-5, 7-6 (8-6), Groff Hinojosa took the No. 5 spot 6-1, 6-0 and Lauren Sebastian won the No. 6 spot in three sets 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.
The Regals are back in action on Saturday and hit the road. Cal Lutheran us at Caltech and the match starts at 10 a.m.
