Regals Drop Match Against Sagehens

CLAREMONT, Calif.— The Cal Lutheran Regals traveled to the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens, Saturday morning, and fell 8-1.

Beginning with doubles, Brennan Foreman and Carolina Groff Hinojosa, No. three, won 8-4. 

Lilijana Peters-Semak and Nicole Alvarez, No. one doubles, fell to their opponents 8-3; and Christie Kurdys and JoAnn Taylor, No. two doubles, fell 8-6.

Continuing on through the afternoon, and on to singles play, Semak fell in her first set 6-1, and lost by default in the second. 

Hinojosa, No. five singles, fell to her opponent 6-0 and 6-1; Heidi Levanen, No. six singles, fell 7-5 and 6-1; Kurdys, No. two, fell 6-1 and 6-2; Alvarez, No. three spot, fell 7-6 (6-4) and 6-2; and Foreman, No. four singles, fell to her SCIAC opponent, 6-1 and 7-5. 

The Cal Lutheran Regals return home for Senior Day against the Chapman Panthers, Friday, April 19, at 3 PM PST.
