THOUSAND OAKS, Calif.— The Cal Lutheran Regals continue their Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference series against the University of Redlands Bulldogs this afternoon. The Regals fell to the Bulldogs 6-3.
Starting off with doubles, freshman doubles team Lilijana Peters-Semak and Nicole Alvarez, No. one doubles, fell 8-6. Senior Christie Kurdys and junior JoAnn Taylor, No. two doubles, fell 8-4 to their opponents.
No. three doubles, freshman Carolina Groff Hinojosa and freshman Brennan Foreman, earned a win for the Regals, 8-6.
Advancing on to singles play, Semak, No. one singles, added a victory by winning 7-5 and 6-0. Not far behind, Kurdys, No. two singles, kept the wins coming, by winning 6-3 and 6-2.
Alvarez, No. three singles, fell to her opponent 6-2 and 7-5; Hinojosa, No. five singles, fell 6-0 and 6-0; and freshman Heidi Levanen, No. six singles, fell 6-3 and 6-1.
Foreman, No. four singles, fell to her opponent after a tiebreaker. Foreman won the first set 6-2 but fell in the second 6-2. Her opponent was too swift, and Foreman fell 6-3 in the tiebreaker.
The Cal Lutheran Regals play April 7 at home, at 10 AM PST, against Mills College.
