Seeman Wins Fourth Straight Match

THOUSAND OAK, Calif. — California Lutheran's Sarah Seeman won her fourth straight singles match, but the Regals lost to No. 24 Southwestern (Texas) 8-1 Thursday night at the Poulson Tennis Center.

All four of Seeman's wins have been at the No. 2 singles spot. This time was a battle that went the distance, in all three sets. Seeman gave it her all and came out on top 7-6, 6-7, 10-6.

The Regals fell short in straight sets in every other singles match. Christie Kurdys was defeated at the No. 1 spot (6-3, 6-0), Gianna Cupo retired as she lost at the No. 3 spot, Annette Sousa was topped in the No. 4 spot (6-2, 6-0), Nicole Neumann came up short in the No. 5 spot (6-1, 6-2) and Jade Moore fell in the No. 6 spot (6-0, 6-0).

Southwestern won all of the doubles points as well. Kurdys and Cupo fell at the No. 1 spot (8-3), Seeman and Neumann were defeated at the No. 2 spot (8-2) and Sousa and Moore lost at the No. 3 spot (8-2).

Cal Lutheran looks to bounce back Friday as the Regals host Whitman (Wash.) at 2 p.m.
