THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Kendall Moffitt and Alice Peterson both won an event as California Lutheran University Swimming and Diving hosted Concordia University Irvine in a dual on homecoming weekend. The Eagles defeated the Regals with a score of 195 to 76.
Moffitt cruised to a finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of five minutes and 20.76 seconds. Peterson won the second event for the Purple and Gold as she claimed the 200-yard free with 1:58.45.
The Regals took the runner-up finish in seven more events.
Moffitt and Nektaria Anagnostou were both second in two events. Moffitt was second in the 200-yard butterfly and 1,650-yard free, while Anagnostou was second in the 200-yard individual medley and the 200-yard breaststroke. Moffit's time 2:11.41 in the 200 fly was sixth-best and her time of 18:31.49 was good for 10th on the program's top-10 list.
Peterson was second in the 200-yard backstroke, the 400-yard free relay of Moffitt, Aubrey Blickman, Kyrie Fairbairn and Peterson was also second and Malia Yim placed second in one-meter diving with 180.15 points.
The Regals' next meet is at home. Cal Lutheran host Caltech on Nov. 6 at 10:30 a.m.
