Youngdahl Earns Scholar All-West Region Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches Association (USCA) recently named three women's soccer student athletes from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) to the Scholar All-West Region team. Regals soccer player, Kali Youngdahl was one of those three and earned Scholar All-West Region honors.

The senior forward from Renton, Wash., is an accounting major with an impressive 3.74 grade-point average (GPA). She led the SCIAC conference with 13 goals and seven assists. She also led the league with 0.57 goals-per-game, 1.43 points-per-game, 33 total points and 7 game-winning goals. Youngdahl is currently ranked fourth in the nation for her game-winning goals out of 154 players as well.

She led the Regals in multiple offensive categories helping them achieve an 11-1-2 record in SCIAC action, naming them the conference tournament top seed and an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship, where they finished with a 16-4-3 overall record.

The other two SCIAC student athletes to be recognized were senior midfielder Leah Kolek of Whittier and Pomona-Pitzer's senior Abigail Onderwyzer-Gold, who was named Scholar All-American.
