Time was running out and the Regals had a two-point lead with eight seconds left on the clock. The Pioneers gave one final push to tie the Purple and Gold and after a hard drive to the basket resulting in an and one, they had the opportunity to go ahead. It was now tied 69-69 and Lewis and Clark was able to drain the free throw to go up by one.

The Regals called a time out immediately after in-bounding the ball and advanced to the half. They had 1.4 seconds on the clock and were able to make a play. Godines was under the basket and found the ball in her hands for an easy lay up to put them ahead. She kept her composure and made the last shot of the game right before the buzzer went off. This marks their second win of the season.

The Regals return to the court tomorrow at 1 pm against Puget Sound for their second game of the Thanksgiving Classic.
