THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — California Lutheran University softball hosted the Pacific Lutheran Lutes on Monday for a doubleheader. The Lutes won the first game 10-0 and the second game 14-0. Both games ended in five innings.

In the first game, Taryn Faull got the loss and lasted 3.0 innings while giving up nine hits and six earned runs. She struck out three, but gave up two homeruns.

Alex Nyberg pitched the next two innings and struck out two, but gave up two hits and three runs.

The Regals' bats were held in check as they totaled just three hits. Regan Laubscher recorded a double and Mia Onesto and Ashley Membrere both added a hit.

The Lutes score three of their runs in the third inning and broke the game wide open with seven runs in the fourth. The Regals could not answer and the Lutes took the first game.

The Pacific Lutheran bats picked up where they left off to start the second game. With Mia Garcia on the mound, the Lutes scored three runs in the first and four in the second. They added six in the fourth and one more in the fifth.

Laubscher and Onesto both doubled in the game, but the Regals could not put any runs on the board and fell to the Lutes.

The Regals get into conference play this weekend. Cal Lutheran host Claremont-M-S on Friday for a single game at 2 p.m.
