2017 (Cross Country)
Raced in six meets for the Kingsmen as a senior, finishing in the top two for five of his races… Recorded his best time at the UC Riverside Invitational with a time of 27:01.0, over 30 seconds better than his next best finish… Notched his highest finish two weeks later at the SCIAC Multi-Duals (41st)... inducted into the CLU Scholar-Athlete Society for the fourth time. 

2017 (Track & Field)
Achieved a 5-second personal best in the 1500m (4:24.48) at SCIAC Multi-Dual No. 3…broke his previous personal record in the 3000m, running 9:26.68 at Rossi Relays…garnered a personal best in the 5000m at SCIAC Multi-Dual No. 2, running 16:37.81…additionally set a 26-second personal best in the 10K, running 34:29.58 at the Oxy Distance Carnival.

2016 (Cross Country)
Competed in all six meets for the Kingsmen as a junior… ran a career best 8K at the Biola Invitational with a time of 27:06.93 (Sept. 10)… he competed in the NCAA DIII West Regionals completing the 8K with a time of 29:12.80 (Nov. 12)… his average time for the season was a 27:58.21...inducted into the CLU Scholar-Athlete Society for the third time.

2016 (Track & Field)
Placed 16^th overall with the fastest 10,000m time of the season for the Kingsmen (34:55.71) at the SCIAC Championships on Apr. 29…season-best 1500m time of 4:29.89 came at the SCIAC Multi-Dual No. 3 (Apr. 16)…fastest 5000m time came at the Oxy Distance Carnival in 17:14.35 (Mar. 11)…inducted into the CLU Scholar-Athlete Society for the second time…earned SCIAC All-Academic honors.

2015 (Cross Country)
Appeared in four meets for the Kingsmen as a sophomore…ran a career best 8K at the Mustang Challenge (Sep. 19) with a time of 28:19.45…ran an average time of 29:57.27 for the season…member of USTFCCCA All-Academic Team in 2015.

2015 (Track & Field)
Placed 14^th overall in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 11:01.58 at the SCIAC Championships (May 2)…also competed in the 5000m where he finished 44^th overall with a time of 16:51.20…clocked a season-best time of 10:57.00 in the 3000m Steeplechase at the SCIAC No. 3 meet (Apr. 11)…inducted into the CLU Scholar Athlete Society.

2014 (Cross Country)
Competed in all five cross country meets during his debut season for the Kingsmen…fastest 8K came at the Adidas/UCI Invitational (Sept. 6) with a time of 28:23.30…ran a SCIAC Championship (Nov. 1) time of 29:42.22.

Canyon High School
Graduated from Canyon HS in Anaheim, Calif. in 2014…was a member of Comanche cross country team…earned two cross country varsity letters in 2013 and 2014…was awarded most improved varsity athlete in 2013…received fourth place in the state championships for cross country.

Full name: Christian Matthew Rider…born on Dec. 12, 1995 in Garden Grove, Calif.…is the oldest child of Matthew and Sandra Rider…has a younger brother Aaron who also runs cross country and track…family currently resides in Anaheim Hills, Calif…considers placing first at Mt. Sac Invitational in 2013 one of his greatest personal sports moments…chose CLU because of the friendly atmosphere…psychology major…sports psychology emphasis…career goal is to become a physical therapist.
