Kingsmen Hosting Chapman in SCIAC Tournament First Round

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Cal Lutheran men's water polo is back in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament for the second straight year. The Kingsmen are 7-4 in conference play and are the No. 3 seed. Cal Lutheran host No. 6 Chapman on Wednesday at 3 p.m. in first round action. 

Due to certain circumstances, the men's water polo tournament was expanded to six teams for just this year. Between seeds 3-6, the lowest remaining seed would travel to No.1 Pomona-Pitzer on Friday with the second lowest seed going to No. 2 Occidental. The winners of the semifinal matches would advance to the final on Sunday which will be held at the highest remaining seed.

Anyone with an ID from a SCIAC institution will get free admission to every SCIAC Tournament game. Tickets can be purchased via Ticketleap for $8, or are $10 at the door. 

Dillon Goldsmith tops the conference with 86 goals and Ben Brown is fourth with 72. The program record at Cal Lutheran for most goals in a season is 98. Brown lead the conference in assists and has dished out 52.  

On defense, goalkeeper Bo DuBois has the second most saves with 185. Goldsmith is third for steals with 40 and Brown is tied for fourth with 37. The duo is fourth and fifth in field blocks with Goldsmith having 13 and Brown with 12.
