THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — The California Lutheran men's volleyball team is hosting the CLU Invitational with a Junior College (JUCO) Showcase Friday and Saturday in Gilbert Arena and Soiland.
The tournament features four Division III programs and three JUCO programs. The D3 programs include Brooklyn College, Cal Lutheran, North Central and UC Santa Cruz. The JUCO schools are El Camino College, Moorpark College and Orange Coast College.

A look at the teams:
Brooklyn (1-2)
Vaughn Titus leads the Bulldogs with 2.56 kills per set. Moaz Ali Choudhary chips in 1.50 KPS and has a hitting percentage of .429. Michael Valentin has tallies 3.78 assists per set and Sayuj Zachariah is second with 3.00 APS. Snigdho tops the defense with 2.67 digs per set.
Cal Lutheran (4-2)
Patrick Rowe and Andrew Reina lead the Kingsmen offense with 2.86 ad 2.71 kills per set, respectively. Grant Nelson keeps the offense going 7.83 assists per set. He also has 15 kills with a .400 clip. The defense works together and six Kingsmen average more than one dig per set. Libero Alec Bennett is the focal point of the defense and averages 1.77 digs per set. Justin Dietrich is a force around the net and has 1.17 blocks per set.
North Central (2-3)
The Cardinal have four players that tally two-plus kills per set, led by Jake Braceros with 2.33. Michael Trunzo and Raymond Kraus keep the offense moving with 7.08 and 6.07 assists per set, respectively. Defensively, Samuel Kharasch protects the back line with 2.11 digs per set and Justin Curtis and Anthony Kluzak protect the net with 1.00 blocks per set.
UC Santa Cruz (12-2)
Lake Merchen leads the Banana Slugs with 3.51 kills per set. Ryan Manley is second with 3.00 KPS. Evan Kittle is the main setter and averages 9.77 assists per set. Defensively, Marchen and Manley record 2.33 digs per set. Raymond Cascio protects the net with 1.02 blocks per set.
The Invitational starts tonight with Orange Coast and Moorpark in Gilbert Arena at 5 p.m. Then at 7:30 p.m., the Kingsmen host North Central in Gilbert Arena, while Brooklyn and UC Santa Cruz play in Soiland.
