MONTECITO, Calif. – Sophomore Bryan Bugni was the solo Kingsmen competing in the Adams-Klein Combined Events Invitational from the Cal Lutheran track and field squad.
There were 18 different competitors in the decathlon ranging from Division 1 to NAIA.
Bugni recorded 10th place in both the 100-meter dash and the long jump.
The sophomore placed 11th in the javelin throw, 12th in the 400-meter dash, 13th in the high jump and pole vault, 14th in the 110-meter dash, and 15th in the final event, the 1500-meter run.
The toughest events for Bugni were the discus where he placed 16th and shot put where he placed 18th.
Overall, Bugni scored 2518 points in day one and 1724 in day two. This earned him 12th place overall.
